Linear Motion
Nabell has been making bellows for linear motion (LM) products for many
years. We have the ability to custom manufacture LM bellows designed
specifically for a particular type of rail. This special design eliminates the
tendency of the bellows to raise itself off the rail while being compressed.
It is important for us to know the type of rail being used, the type and number
of carriages, and the centerline distance between the guide rail if two are used in parallel.
We offer bellows for excessive heat applications as well. Our range of materials
allow our bellows to be exposed to contact temperatures in excess of 800°F (426°C).
When specifying high temperature requirements, it is important to know if the
elevated temperatures are the result of contact temperature or environmental
temperature. (ex: spatter from welding versus placing the bellows inside an oven).
For the most demanding conditions, we offer slat protectors for an extra bit of
protection. The slats are made from aluminum or stainless steel, all in completely
customizable sizes. These slats are attached to the upper pleats of the bellows
allowing them to be raised for cleaning.
