Round Bellows
RF WELDEDWelded Round (WR) Polyurethane Bellows:
WR bellows are made from polyurethane sheets that are stacked on top of each other and welded around the inner and outer perimeters. Radio frequency bellows offer the best compression ratios of any of our standard round bellows. Made from Polyurethane, these bellows are completely sealed and offer liquid-tight protection of your equipment. Our RF welded bellows come in a wide variety of sizes with standard sleeve or flange ends.
The RF welded bellows are very well suited for clean room applications where low particle generation is important. We also offer polyurethane with static dissipative properties where the highest clean room levels are required.
SEWN SHAPESewn Shape (SS) Bellows:
SS bellows a very similar to the RF bellows in that they are produced with layers of material. As with RF bellows, outstanding ratios can be achieved. These bellows are very customizable because there is no need for extravagant tooling. SS bellows can be made with a much broader range of materials to fit many applications.
Neoprene coated fabric is commonly used for these bellows where they will be in contact with general coolants, oils, and many solvents. Where the bellows need to be used in elevated temperature environments, materials such as silicone glass cloth, and aluminized Kevlar and Nomex are available
WIRE INSERTWire Insert Bellows (WI):
Rounding out our offering of round bellows is the WI series of bellows. These bellows can be made from a wide variety of materials and can be used where impact resistance is important. WI bellows are made by inserting individual rings into a “sleeve” of material. The rings are designed so that they are stretched into the material, creating the convoluted effect. WI bellows are especially useful where positive or negative environmental pressures are present. The wires support the material and prevent the bellows from collapsing. As with all of our round bellows, we offer many sizes. These bellows can be made with customizable mounting flanges or sleeves on the ends.
